AREA INFO

Porto Heli is a natural harbour on the Argosaronic gulf located in the Prefecture of Argolis, in the Peloponnese. Just 2 1/2 hours drive from Athens it is also perfect for day trips to the Corinth Canal, the historic town of Nafplion, the ruins & museum of Mycenae or the ancient theatre of Epidavros. Within 20 minutes drive are the villages of Ermioni, Kranidi, Didima and Koilada for local exploration and Porto Heli itself is a long established resort with all the facilities and services one could want: cafes, hotels, internet access, newsagents, restaurants, shops and supermarkets, a superb coastline to explore, bike, boat and car hire and local festivals to enjoy. Naturally there are plenty of other water sports available too like sailing with Biff & Amy and scuba-diving with the Kallianos team. Slightly farther away, but a great surf experience, look no farther than Cyril and his team at Messanges Surf School in France.
